New Beginnings

We have always thought of November as an exciting time. For us, it signifies the start of the holidays and anticipation of the new year. With this comes time for rejuvenation and brainstorming about new goals and dreams for the year to come.

November also marks two years of our partnership as Rae & Moore.

While we are so grateful for our time spent working together, the wonderful clients we have had the pleasure of working with, and the relationships we have been able to develop along the way, life has presented us with new opportunities. It is bittersweet to announce that beginning November 1, 2016 the two halves of Rae & Moore will be pursuing goals separately- although we know we'll always find projects to work on together. As we are both firm believers that timing is everything, we know this change is something that is meant to be, and we couldn't be more excited for what the future has in store!

We are extremely grateful for all of the support we received and look forward to
continuing to work with you in the future.

Spanish Romance

Julia and Eric's Labor Day weekend wedding at the Santa Barbara Historical Museum was one for the books! It was a day filled with color, killer fashion, and lots of love & laughter- and we were so honored to be a small part of it all.

A fashionista with a vision, Julia chose a very unique color palette of sky blue, lavender, olive, and orange, and the end result was magical.  Her bridal party wore mixed matched bridesmaids dresses and chose a floral adornment of their choice opposed to the traditional bouquet. The bride wore a stunning Rosa Clara beaded gown paired with a sparkling headpiece. The ceremony setting was complete with stunning floral details on the arch and overhead draping by Bella Vista Designs.

The reception featured a mix of natural and linen draped tables with lush garland, and colorful centerpieces. To add a Spanish flair, the couple chose colorful tiles to act as guest place cards. For dinner guests enjoyed a beautiful, tasty spread from Los Arroyos, then spent the evening dancing away to  a musical delight by YEAH! Weddings

How about that draping by Bella Vista Designs. So dreamy, right!?

A seriously stunning bride with her gorgeous gals. Loved this colorful bunch!

Gorgeous pieces from Elan Event Rentals created the ideal lounge area for guests to relax by the fountain.

To further incorporate the color palette and compliment Stella Bloom's amazing floral design, we added colorful tabletop items from Ventura Rentals including these sky blue hemstitch napkins and orange goblets.

A naked chocolate cake drizzled with caramel by MJB Cakes, paired with sugary churros made for the perfect ending to the sweetest day!

Siren of the Sea

We were elated to have our very first shoot as Rae & Moore featured on one of our favorite blogs, Wedding Sparrow, this past Friday.  If you haven't seen their new branding, take a peek!

Siren of the Sea was inspired by the Southern California coast along Santa Barbara, our Siren of the Sea editorial focused on simple and natural details. We opted for no floral design, and instead focused on the unique elements of the surroundings to highlight the beauty of the area. The abundance of shells, natural textures, and antique accents was the perfect complement to the muted palette of the sunset.

Side note- today marks one month of weekly RM Journal posts. Check in every Monday for new posts!
